England, Germany and Scotland are backing down on sex self-ID laws.
- England’s Labour party last week backflipped on introducing Sex Self ID, conceding on the necessary requirement for a medical diagnosis. Now, neither major party in England supports Sex Self ID; aligned with public opinion.
- German Parliament halted its Self ID Bill 3 weeks ago over concerns criminal offenders may exploit the system.
- Scotland’s First Minister Sturgeon resigned in February over Self Self ID. 80% of Scots did not support the policy.
- Civil claims afoot in the UK and USA for lost opportunities, for example in sport, as a result of Sex Self ID laws.
In Australia, in May 2023, medical insurer MDA National cut cover for GP’s who provide medical interventions to transition under-18s.
