On 13 March 2024, a day before it was due to be voted on, the so-called “Equality Bill” has been referred to committee.

LA: On 13/03/2024 the House agreed to refer the Bill to Committee for inquiry and report by 03/06/2024 and to extend the lapsing date of the Bill to 16/08/2024.

This referral will give women in NSW even more time to lobby and raise the harms of gender self-ID with members of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.
