WHAT TO SAY
I’m calling about the LGBTQIA+ Equality Bill that will be debated in the lower house of parliament on on the 14th March 2024.
Women and children really need [THIS OFFICE MP/MLC] to vote NO on this Bill.
This Bill is NOT progressive – even though its proponents say it is.
This BILL has no public mandate.
The public are not aware of this Bill, have not been consulted on it and yet it will require 99% of the population to change the way we live in order for 0.7% of trans identifying people in the population to legally change sex using a simple administrative process.
IT IS NOT PROGRESIVE because, if passed, everyone will be forced to live without the sex-based boundaries and clarity that societies are built on to help ensure safeguarding of women and children.
Women’s rights ARE PROGRESSIVE. Yet, those rights are under attack in this BILL
If passed, the laws will decimate the sex-based rights of women and children in NSW. It will literally allow any male to use a simple administrative process to legally become a woman and then access all women and girls’ spaces and sports.
A legal process does not alter male physique or psychology. It creates a loophole for unscrupulous men to access women’s spaces.
Women in NSW fought long and hard for the right to have our own private areas and sporting categories, but this will all go with the Bill.
There has been no public debate about this fundamental change to our society. These changes have not been popular in other countries (e.g. USA, UK) and have caused headaches for politicians who introduced them.
No one should be able to remove these rights from women and children, including MPs.
I want you to vote this bill down.
